Zilk was founded by Carter King and Joseph Lecinski, both currently attending Utah State University in Logan, Utah, who wanted to make it easier for students to discover real, local restaurant deals.
As students themselves, they saw how difficult it was to keep track of discounts, promotions, and student-friendly pricing across town. Zilk was built to solve that problem — putting verified local deals in one simple app.
Our goal is to support local restaurants while helping students save money, all through a platform designed by students, for students.
Joseph Lecinski
Joseph is an award-winning entrepreneur with a strong track record in high-impact sales and systems building. He has closed deals on products before they existed, built CRMs from scratch to manage customer pipelines, and launched revenue-generating ventures—all before graduating college. Known for setting bold goals and executing with relentless determination, Joseph brings a pragmatic, results-driven mindset to every project.
Carter King
Carter King is a Data Analytics student at Utah State University and co-founder of Zilk. He builds the product end-to-end—combining data, design, and engineering to ship fast and learn faster. Carter works across React Native/Expo, Supabase, and modern web tooling, with a strong foundation in Python, SQL, and JavaScript. His focus is simple: make local deals easier to discover for students while creating measurable value for Logan businesses.
